Paulo Elian dos Santos and Ana Luce Girão Soares de Lima Year of formation: 2008
The group conducts interdisciplinary research in archival science, documentation, museology, memory, and cultural heritage. It seeks to advance studies on the historical heritage of science and health through the analysis of material culture, its preservation processes, and the dissemination of the knowledge produced. It also seeks to understand the material dimension involved in the production and representation of Brazilian scientific culture.
Developed within a center dedicated to memory, history, and the public communication of science, part of Brazil’s leading institution in the fields of health sciences and technology, this research brings together professionals from different fields and areas of expertise. Through graduate education, programs, and research projects, these activities contribute to the preservation of scientific and cultural heritage, the strengthening of health institutions, and the promotion of sustainable social and economic development in Brazil.
